I recently stayed for two nights in the Standard Queen Room. The building felt welcoming despite some wear on the exterior. The interior was immaculate and had a warm ambiance that truly made me feel at home. The hosts were excellent—super responsive and friendly, ensuring all my requests were met. The breakfasts were outstanding. each morning felt like a treat. However, I did encounter a problem with the toilet height in my room. It felt shorter than a standard unit, making it tough to get up without a grab bar. I had to leave the door open to use the wall as support. A grab bar would improve standard rooms significantly. Despite that, the location was easy to find and great for venturing out.

We stayed here for two nights and appreciated the close proximity to both Kal-Haven Trailhead, just about 1 km away, and Stanley Johnston Park, a pleasant walk of nearly 2 km, making our city strolls enjoyable and easy to fit into our itinerary. The cozy atmosphere was a perfect fit for us as a couple, although the building could use a bit more upkeep outside to enhance its inviting feel.
